A Title Plan is a map produced by Land Registry to record the general position of the boundaries of a registered title. Each title plan is in fact an Ordnance Survey map onto which Land Registry has added some information.
You need a Title Plan when requesting searches from your search provider.
A title plan shows:
- The title number of the land.
- The land included in the title which is normally edged in red. There may be other colours or markings on the plan. The significance of these is explained in the register.
- The scale at which the plan is drawn.
