The calculator widget can integrate with Google Analytics. It does this automatically if your site is already set up with Universal Analytics.

The calculator widget involes 3 steps:

  • Initial Questions
  • User Questions
  • Quote.

User Questions Step

When a customer enters the second step, ‘User Questions’, of the calculator widget, a page view will be sent to Google Analytics. This page view will be shown in the Google Analytics dashboard as:

’/{thePageThatTheCalculatorIsEmbeddedOn}/{calculator-Name}/{calculator-ID}/user-questions`

For example, if the calculator was embedded on the ‘online-conveyancing-quote’ page of your website, the page view would look like this on Google Analytics:

‘/online-conveyancing-quote/purchase/ecb1b433-3682-4008-ab23-9dd1f036d687/user-questions’

Quote Step

When a customer enters the third step, ‘Quote’, of the calculator widget, a page view will be sent to Google Analytics. This page view will be shown in the Google Analytics dashboard as:

’/{thePageThatTheCalculatorIsEmbeddedOn}/{calculator-Name}/{calculator-ID}/quote-given

For example, if the calculator was embedded on the ‘online-conveyancing-quote’ page of your website, the page view would look like this on Google Analytics:

‘/online-conveyancing-quote/purchase/ecb1b433-3682-4008-ab23-9dd1f036d687/quote-given’
